Student support program needs tutors

Students need tutors! Message below from Kevin Young at Pathways to Education, a support program aimed at keeping high school students from dropping out of school:

—–
Spryfield students continue to get good grades because of the Support Pathways provides through tutoring. Student attendance is generally between 80% and 90%; impressive since students attend tutoring two evenings a week after busy days at school! The key to the success is our group of tutor volunteers. Most of these volunteers are university students and as university classes are ending we are short of volunteer tutors as our students head down the home stretch to the end of the school year. Please consider becoming a volunteer tutor and passing the word along to others. You do not need to be a subject expert and we are there to support volunteers. And it is easy to become involved; just contact Mike at ccda.morse@bellaliant.com. As always, it takes a community to help a community!!
