Stunting motorcyclist charged: more than twice the limit

At 6:30 p.m. on April 15, a member of Yarmouth Rural RCMP observed a motorcycle driving at a high rate of speed on Hwy. 334.

The motorcycle, was stopped by police for driving 128 km/h in a 60 km/h zone, 68 km/hr over the limit.

The 37-year-old man from Toronto, Ontario, was charged for Stunting under the Provincial Motor Vehicle Act. The fine for stunting in Nova Scotia is $2,422.50, the driver’s licence was suspended immediately and the motorcycle was seized and impounded.

Nova Scotia RCMP want to remind the public that speed is one of the major causes of serious injury and fatal collisions on our roads. Road Safety is a priority for the RCMP, and drivers are reminded to make it their priority as well.
