Tuesday, June 9, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The annual summer concert series at the Halifax Public Gardens kicks off this weekend with a free performance by a regular at the bandstand, the Port City Concert Band.
Keeping with tradition, every Sunday between June 14 and September 20, the Public Gardens will host free concerts from 2-4 p.m. at the bandstand near the centre of the Gardens, next to Horticulture Hall.
Performances this month include the Port City Concert Band, John Alphonse & the Waterfront Stompers Dixieland Band and Opus 1. The full list of summer concerts is available online at http://www.halifax.ca/publicgardens/SummerConcertSeries.php.
