Summer events at Scott Manor House

The Scott Manor House is located at 15 Fort Sackville Road.

The Scott Manor House will be hosting many events throughout the summer.

Plan to attend:

June 11, 5-8 p.m. – BOOK SALE

June 12, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. – BOOK SALE – At 2 p.m. award winning children’s author and illustrator will read “Where I Live”

June 13, Noon – 4 p.m. – BOOK SALE – At 2 p.m. researcher and curator of the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic will read his book “Pirates of the Atlantic: Murder and Mayhem off the East Coast”

June 24, 6–8 p.m. – Reception and exhibits by local youth artists. Harpist Georgina Atkin

June 26, 2–4 p.m. – GEORGIAN TEA – With town crier Stew MacMillan, Harmony Barbershop quartet, Clan Farquharson Pipe and Drum band and exhibits by youth artists

July 1, 2–4 p.m. – Celebrate Canada Day! Guided historic Bedford walk at 1 p.m., Harmony Barbershop Quartet at 2 p.m. and tea room grand opening

July 1-4 – Nova Scotia Knitters Displays and youth art exhibit

July 4, 2 p.m. – Shoreview String Quartet

July 5-11 – The Town Clock Stitchers displays of embroidery and needlework

July 12-25 – Eight of Clay Ceraminc artists show and sale. Exhibit, “Washed Ashore”

July 25, 2 p.m. – Traditional Irish Music by Mark Currie and friends, 2 p.m.

July 26-August 1 – HOME – three sisters, three views: water colors, drawings and journals.

August 1, 2 p.m. – Harpist Cheryl Reid-O’Hagan

August 2-8 – Nature inspired artist Margaret Tabak show and sale

August 8, 2 p.m. – Swing time Jazz Ensemble

August 9-12 – Maritime Ship Modlers’ Guild – meet the makers and view the displays

August 13-15 –  Bedford artist Sylvia Ireland show and sale

August 15, 2 p.m. – The Bedford Fiddlers

August 16-22 – “I promise…” – Celebrating 100 years of Guiding

August 23-29 – Dolls, Doll houses and Miniatures – bring your dolls for identification

August 30, 1 p.m. – Guided historic Bedford walk

August 31 – Last open day of Scott Manor House and tea room

September 21, 7:30 p.m. – Graveyard Candlelight Walk – visit grave of Joseph Scott and others. Refreshments to follow at Scott Manor – 7:30 p.m.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ADMISSION IS ALWAYS FREE.
