Summer Street – Road Closure

Friday, Aug. 7, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that a section of Summer Street in Halifax will be closed to vehicular traffic beginning Monday, Aug. 10, and continuing until the end of the day on Wednesday, Aug. 12 to facilitate the construction of a hot-water pipeline.

Starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 10, the northbound lane on Summer Street will be closed between College Street and University Avenue. Work will conclude every day at 7 p.m.

The southbound lane will remain open while work is underway and access to the Nova Scotia Rehabilitation Centre will be maintained throughout the construction schedule.

Motorists should expect delays when travelling in the area and are advised to use alternative routes, if possible. The municipality regrets any inconvenience this work or the closure may cause; however, it is required for public safety.
