Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists that work began today to complete permanent restoration following the recent installation of a natural gas main on Summer Street, between Bell Road and Veterans Memorial Lane; on Veterans Memorial Lane, between Summer Street and Robie Street; and, on Robie Street between Binney Street and Cherry Street.
At least two lanes of traffic will be maintained at all times on Robie Street and Summer Street. Stop and go traffic can be expected on Veterans Memorial Lane. No work will take place on any of the streets between the hours of 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. The work is expected to take approximately one week.
Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.
Heritage Gas and the municipality apologize in advance for any inconvenience this work may cause.
