SUNDANCE ’11 – UPDATE #7

CANADA BOUND

Fare thee well, Park City! We’re all packing up our things and headed back to our respective homes up north within the hour. My travels are estimated to take me on the road (and in the air) for 29 hours. Again, this is what you get when you combine all of the most-affordable options. Cheap bastard.

Although we’re leaving town, we still have a few blog updates to post (notably: our encounter with the Westboro Baptist Church at the premiere of RED STATE), so there will be some goodness coming up in the next few days.

Celebrity encounter update: Adrian Grenier, Michael Rapaport & James Cromwell. Solid.

That’s all for now, we have a plane to catch, so please enjoy this amazing story from the New York Times…

Tommy Lee is dying to see a certain movie at Sundance — only problem is, he can’t remember its name. The Motley Crue drummer, perhaps more famous for his sex tape with Pamela Anderson and what it revealed about his physique, told us at the House of Hype lounge: “I heard about some crazy movie I want to see about some clown with a gun. Some crazy clown just goes berserk on everything with a shotgun.” Although he couldn’t recall the title, “It sounds like something I need to see.” We think he meant “Hobo With a Shotgun,” about a homeless man who becomes a violent vigilante.
