Sunrise Walk arson update, store and individual robbed

From HRPD: Arson Update: On 2010110 Update:  An 18 year old Halifax male was arrested and charged  with 3 counts of arson and 3 counts of breach of probation. He will appear in Halifax Provincial court today.

Arson Update:

On 2010110 Update:  An 18 year old Halifax male was arrested and
charged  with 3 counts of arson and 3 counts of breach of probation. He
will appear in Halifax Provincial court today.

On 20101108 @ 7:18 pm hours the HRP responded to an assist other agency
(HRM Fire) call in the 5400 block of  Sunrise Walk. Officers discovered
the cause of the fire was a device containing an accellerant and a fire
extinguisher was used to put out the small fire. Two similar devices
were thrown at the windows of the vacant property resulting in broken
glass only. The HRP FIS was contacted to process the scene and handle
the devices and the matter is still under investigation at this time.

Robbery

On 20101110 @ 0335 hours the HRP responded to a Robbery in the 200
block of Pleasant Street, Dartmouth.  A lone male entered a store and
presented a knife and left the store with a quantity of cigarettes.  The
suspect entered an orange Pontiac and fled the area. The vehicle was
recovered with a quantity of cigarettes still inside. Matter still under
investigation. Matter still under investigation and 2 party's are
currently in custody.
Suspect descriptions:
1.  male, 6’2, puffy jacket, reflective vest, wearing a baseball
hat.

Robbery

On 20101109 @ 22:35 hours the HRP responded to a Robbery in the area of
Jamieson Street and Wyse Road.  Information was received that the male
victim was punched in the face and his wallet and backpack were taken.
The male was first approached by 3 black male youths and then 3 others
joined the group.  The suspects fled the area prior to police arrival
and most of the items in the bag were located and returned to the
victim.  No reported injuries to the victim.
Suspect descriptions:
6  male youths wearing dark clothing and hooded sweatshirts.
