In past years, the Christmas holiday season may have been a time of great anticipation and excitement … but this year, the prospect of facing the holidays without your loved one may cause anxiety and dread. YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
“Surviving the Holidays” seminars are being held for those coping with the death of a loved one and for those separated or divorced. These warm, encouraging and helpful events feature video teaching and group discussion.
They offer practical ideas to face the intense pain of grief and being alone during the holiday season.
Christmas may bring pain, but it can also bring healing. Receive a personal Holiday Survival Guide. Seminars are open to anyone. They take place in St. Timothy’s Hall, 2320 Prospect Rd., Hatchet Lake. Free. (Non-denominational.)
Confidentiality is kept. To REGISTER, phone 852-4580 or e-mail: lgvaughn@eastlink.ca.
The “GriefShare” support group regularly meets Mondays at 1 p.m.
“DivorceCare” gathers Tuesdays at 7 p.m. Both take place in St. Timothy’s Hall.
