Hmm. I didn’t really believe that Dan was a threat or had a shot at winning, but based on this Ponderosa video I think maybe I underestimated the power of his likability. Everyone had such warm feelings for Dan that I kind of wish we’d been able to see that better this season. We knew people liked him, but I didn’t know people liked him that much. Check out the video:
Also shocking is how much weight the guy lost – 45lbs! Part 2 of Dan in Ponderosa made me wish that they’d filmed this season in a location that allowed for water challenges. Looks like Brenda and Benry are pretty good swimmers!
Poor Holly was nervous to come to Ponderosa, and rightly so. Alina greeted her with a hug and a warning – “You’ve got a lot of enemies here.” I was a little surprised – I know Holly betrayed people, but I thought they’d respect her game play. Maybe she wasn’t as big of a threat to win votes as I thought. Brenda welcomed Holly as well, but no one else did. It was sad. Jane, of course, was incredibly vindictive. In Holly’s second video, which focuses on everyone’s thoughts going into the final tribal council, Jane said it would be “like going to eat candy from a baby.” Riiiiiiiiight. Check it out here:
Fabio’s red carpet interview was pretty cute, and the part where he talked about the importance of biting your tongue pretty much epitomized the strength of his game play. I don’t think we got to see much of Fabio’s strategic game play for two reasons – he played an under the radar game, and he was in the minority alliance. But on top of his physical game he played a strong social game, and a big part of that was knowing not to get too involved in the drama.
Sash’s red carpet interview was just as smooth and cheesy as he was on the show. He was a gracious loser, though, and I still think he played a decent game. Chase’s red carpet interview didn’t change my opinion of him at all, and I’ll leave it at that. Were you surprised by anything from the extra videos?
