Police charge man for robbery

Police have charged a man in relation to a robbery that occurred in Halifax last night.
At approximately 9:30 p.m. police responded to a report of a robbery at the Canadian Tire gas bar located at 6590 Bayers Road. A man entered the store, told the employee he had a weapon and demanded money. The man fled on foot with an amount of cash and the attendant was not injured.
The man was arrested a short time later in the area without incident. No weapon was located.
Mark Patrick Gray, 26, of Halifax, is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face robbery charges

At 9:31pm HRP officers responded to a Robbery call in the 6000 block of Bayers Road.
A male went inside a business and informed the attendant that this is a Robbery and he has a weapon. The suspect then made off with a sum of cash and based on the suspect description the male was located a short distance away and taken into custody without incident.
The suspect will appear in Halifax Provincial Court to face Robbery charges.
The attendant was not injured.
