(Update) Suspect arrested after robbery at a business in Halifax

Police charge man for robbery

Police have charged a man in relation to a robbery that occurred in Halifax last night.

At approximately 9:30 p.m. police responded to a report of a robbery at the Canadian Tire gas bar located at 6590​ Bayers Road.​ A man entered the store, told the employee he had a weapon and demanded money.​ The man fled on foot with an amount of cash and the attendant was not injured.

The man was arrested a short time later in the area without incident. No weapon was located.​

Mark Patrick Gray, 26, of Halifax, is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face robbery charges

At 9:31pm HRP officers responded to a Robbery call in the​ 6000 block of​ Bayers Road.​

A male went inside a business and informed the attendant​ that this is a Robbery and​ he has a weapon.​ The suspect then made off with a sum of cash and based on the suspect description the male was located a short distance​ away and taken into custody without incident.

The suspect will appear in Halifax Provincial Court to face​ Robbery charges.

The attendant was not injured.
