Suspect breaks into business, leaves with stolen vehicle

Digby RCMP Detachment and Queens District RCMP are investigating a break and enter and a theft of vehicle involving the same person.

On January 23, 2024, at approximately 11:37 p.m. Digby RCMP Detachment responded to a commercial alarm on Prince William St. in Digby.

RCMP officers learned that the suspect gained access through the front door of the business and fled the scene in a blue Mazda with $8000.00 in merchandise. No employees were present at the time.

On January 24, 2024, at approximately 2:10 a.m. a black and yellow 2004 Ford truck was stolen from R&C WEARE LOGGING LTD., in Harmony Mills. A short time later, the truck was located nearby undamaged.  

Surveillance footage of the area shows a person of interest wearing a hat, a dark hoodie with “CAT” on the front and rubber boots at the time of the theft.
