HRP release:
Police have charged a man in relation to a robbery that occurred in Dartmouth yesterday.
At approximately 11:40 a.m. officers responded to a robbery that had occurred at the Shoppers Drug Mart on Wyse Road in Dartmouth. A man entered the store, stole merchandise, threatened staff and then fled on foot.
Officers located the suspect in the area a short time later and arrested him after a short foot pursuit. The suspect provided a false name when he was arrested.
Justin Russell Stroud, 27, is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth provincial court today to face charges of:
- Robbery
- Obstruction (x2)
- Failing to comply with conditions of a court order (x2)
