Suspense Writer Extraordinaire: Joy Fielding at the Woodlawn Public Library

I am super excited to have Joy Fielding reading tonight at the Woodlawn Public Library. Halifax Public Libraries has been interested for quite awhile in having Joy read at the Library, as she has been among the most popular suspense authors among our readers for many years. The stars finally aligned this year, and with help from The Canada Council for the Arts, we have arrange for Joy to bring her literary magic to our new Woodlawn branch. Please join us this evening at 7 p.m. to meet Joy and to hear her read from her latest best seller, Now You See Her. (and check out her book trailer below):

Joy Fielding is best known for her dozens of nightmare suspense tales of women in jeopardy. Skillfully combining sympathetic characters, twisted plots, psychological implications, and an element of mystery, she keeps the level of danger high in dramas fueled by nonstop action and deadly peril. Feisty young heroines battle sinister villains in creepily atmospheric tales set against familiar, often domestic and thus seemingly safe, backgrounds into which evil has intruded. Tension builds from a sense of menace to outright terror in these edgy and chilling page-turnersNoveList
