The suspicious death that occurred yesterday morning in Dartmouth has been ruled a homicide.
On March 29 at approximately 5:20 a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Spring Avenue and Mount Edward Road. Officers located a deceased young man, who had been shot, lying on the sidewalk.
Based on yesterday’s autopsy, the Medical Examiner has ruled the death a homicide and identified the victim as 20-year-old Joseph Douglas Cameron of Dartmouth. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.
The investigation, led by the Homicide Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division, is ongoing.
