Suspicious death under investigation

Lunenburg District RCMP with assistance from Southwest Nova Major Crime Team and Bridgewater Police Department are investigating the suspicious death of a 57-year-old Pine Grove man.

At 3:15 p.m. on October 30, Lunenburg District RCMP responded to a local hospital for a man who is believed to have incurred life-threatening injuries on Sunday, October 25 at a residence on Jippie Ave. in Pine Grove. On November 1 police were advised 57-year-old Donny Lohnes of Pine Grove had passed away as a result of his injuries.

The investigation is ongoing with assistance from Nova Scotia Medical Examiner’s Office. Lunenburg District RCMP is asking anyone who has information about this incident to contact them at 902-634-8674.
