Suspicious person and vehicle

Halifax Regional Police were dispatched to a suspicious circumstances call last evening. Earlier on Wednesday morning  a 9 year old girl was walking to school at 8 am in the area of  Connolly St / Edgewood Ave, Halifax. When a male stopped his car on the side of the road and asked her to get into his car. She run away and went inside the school, the man did not follow her.

The male is described as  being a slim build, with red/ orange cropped hair, freckles on his face, wearing a black baseball hat and a black jacket,  The vehicle was an older model, metallic blue color with shiny hubcaps.
