Tuesday, June 2, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists that work will begin tomorrow, June 3, to extend the natural gas main on Sussex Street between Herring Cove Road and Kidston Road.
Two lanes of traffic are expected to be maintained during the majority of this construction work. Any required periods of stop-and-go traffic will take place outside the peak hours of 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The pipe installation is expected to take approximately 10 days, with permanent pavement restoration to follow.
Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes, if possible.
Heritage Gas and the municipality apologize in advance for any inconvenience this work may cause.
