Take Back The Night (or At Least Some Of It) Netflix Style

Sleep. I don’t know about you but I spend a big part of my day thinking about sleep. How to get more of it, how much longer until bedtime, what time do we all have to get up in order get out the door on time… And like some parents, counting down the hours until the kids are in bed and my shows can go on the tv.

Is there really anything cuter than a sleeping kid? I didn’t think so. You just have to get past the bedtime stalling fiascos.

I’m hungry. I’m thirsty. My tummy hurts. SHE doesn’t have to go to bed, so why do I? I forgot, I have homework! Need to brush my teeth. I can’t find my pajamas. Where’s my stuffy? It’s too hot in here. It’s too cold in here. SHE’s being too loud! It’s too dark in my room. It’s too light in my room. I need to pee. I need to poop.

You’ve heard them all. They’re all part of the bedtime stall routine. Netflix recently polled parents and more than 60% of parents around the globe are dealing with kids’ stall tactics before bed, adding up to nearly 20 minutes every single night. But guess what? It’s time to take back your night with a little help from Netflix.

Next time you find yourself in the bedtime battle, just tell your kids they can watch an ENTIRE show before bed.

That’s right, a WHOLE show! Netflix and DreamWorks Animation recently launched Dinotrux Favorites, an entire episode of the latest hit all in a nice little 5-minute package. That’s 300-seconds of them thinking they won the bedtime battle.
