The Halifax North West Trails Association will be hosting an interpretive walk along the historic Old Coach Road Trail in the Bedford Ravines on Wednesday, July 8 at 6:45p.m.

This wooded trail, which is about two kilometres long, is home to flora and fauna found in our region, including butterflies, birds and deer.

The interpretive walk will cover about one kilometre and will proceed at a gentle pace so participants can absorb the natural surroundings. The walk will be ideal for young families.

Those who would like to participate in the walk are asked to meet at the trailhead, which is located next to the first set of mailboxes on the south side of Southgate Drive, off the Bedford Highway. Cars can be parked along Southgate.

For more information, contact Bob McDonald at 443-5051 or bobathome@eastlink.ca.

Those unable to attend the event are encouraged to take a self-guided walk of the trail – printed guides can be found in a box at the trailhead.
