At 1:36 am, Halifax Regional Police responded to the 40 block of Frederick Ave. in Halifax in relation to a taxi driver who was robbed at gun point by a fare he had picked up on Titus St. Halifax.
The suspect had produced a small black hand gun and demanded money from the taxi driver who resisted the robbery. The suspect fled the area on foot towards Dutch Village Rd. The area was search by patrol members along with the K-9 unit but could not locate the suspect. There were no injuries to the taxi driver and the suspect was unsuccessful in obtaining any money. The matter is still under investigation.
The suspect is described as a white male, 20s, 5’7” in height, thin build, black curly hair with a beard, wearing a black jacket, jeans and carrying a backpack.
