TD Canada Trust – Bank Robbery Arrest

  The Integrated HRP/RCMP General Investigation Section investigators have made an arrest in the TD Canada Trust bank robbery that occurred on Oct. 17th at 10:30 am (see below). 

 

The Integrated HRP/RCMP General Investigation Section investigators have made an arrest in the TD Canada Trust bank robbery that occurred on Oct. 17th at 10:30 am (see below). 
Investigative efforts have led to the arrest of a 60 year old male suspect from the Halifax area. The accused was arrested and taken into custody for the bank robbery on Oct. 19th at 8:20 pm – charges have now been laid in the incident. The accused has been remanded to the Correctional Center and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court on Monday morning.
 
Police Investigating Robbery
 
Oct. 17th / 2012 – Halifax Regional Police is currently on-scene investigating a robbery.
 
At 10:30 a.m., police responded to the TD Canada Trust bank located at 5495 Spring Garden Road after a man entered the bank, threatened the staff and demanded cash. No one was hurt and the suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. He is described as white, approximately 50-years-old, 5’5” with a medium built. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a dark puffy jacket and dark winter tuque.
 
At this time, officers assigned to the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section are in the early stages of the investigation.
