Teen arrested after break and enter into a school – Halifax

Police investigate a break and enter into a school.

One suspect has been charged following a break and enter in Halifax this morning.​ ​

At 12:23 a.m. police responded to the Park West School at 206 Langbrae Drive in Halifax.​ A local resident reported hearing several youths on the school property and feared they were causing property damage.

Police discovered a ground level window was broken and entry gained into the school.​

A classroom had sustained property damage.

Police observed several youths fleeing the school property.

At 12:40 a.m. a 16 year old male was arrested nearby and taken into police custody without incident. He is being charged with break and enter and property damage.​

He was later released on a promise to appear in youth court at a later date and issued an undertaking.
