Teen stabbed inside Bayers Lake business last Friday

At 7:47 p.m., on the 16th June, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a physical disturbance between teenage females in the 200 block of Chain Lake Drive Halifax.  Patrol officers responded located an injured teenage female (15 yrs.) inside a business, with a non-life-threatening injury consistent with a stab wound.  Police also located and arrested a teenage female suspect (15 yrs.).  The suspect and victim are known to one another and police are not looking for any other suspects.  The injured female has been transported to the hospital.

Investigators with Patrol and the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are conducting the investigation, which is on going.  The suspect female is facing charges of Assault with a Weapon, Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, and will appear in Halifax court on a later date.
