Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and pedestrians of intermittent access restrictions that will be in place over the next two weeks at the Public Gardens gate located at the corner of Sackville and Summer streets.
Beginning on Friday, Aug. 12, and continuing until the end of August, the pedestrian gate at the intersection of Sackville Street and Summer Street will be closed periodically to accommodate fence rehabilitation work. Due to the nature of the work, this entrance will be closed for short periods of time at various times of day. Please note this is weekday work only, and access will be maintained during regular facility hours during the evenings until dusk, and on weekends.
Appropriate signage will be in place to redirect pedestrians to other entrances to the Public Gardens, and a temporary entrance will also be provided mid-block on Summer Street while this work is underway.
The municipality regrets any inconvenience this work may cause.
