Temporary Road Closure – Argyle Street

Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that a block of Argyle Street in Halifax will be temporarily closed to traffic on Saturday, Sept. 27, to celebrate Neptune Theatre’s annual Open House and the first ever Argyle Street Fall Festival.

Starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Argyle Street will shut down to vehicles between Prince Street and Sackville Street. There will be no parking on that block during the events. The street will reopen at about 10 p.m.

Neptune Theatre will open its doors to residents and visitors from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., providing a peek behind the scenes and an interactive, social experience for all ages.

Then starting at noon and continuing until 7 p.m., the Argyle Street Fall Festival will feature free live music, local vendors and a cornucopia of delectable foods. Entertainment will include performances by The Brood, the Dartmouth District Pipe Band, Bruce and Jay MacKinnon, Tom Terrell, Kim Harris and Ambition.
