Thanksgiving Day Bus and Ferry Holiday Service

Halifax Metro Transit will be operating buses and ferries on holiday schedule on Thanksgiving Day, Monday, October 12.

This will mean 24 bus routes (including Metro LINK and Metro X) will not be in service . The remaining 32 routes will be running on their Sunday and holiday schedules.
The Halifax/Dartmouth ferry will be in operation with the first ferry leaving Dartmouth at 7:30 am and the last ferry leaving Halifax at 11:45 pm. The Woodside ferry will be closed.
The following routes will be running on their Sunday / holiday schedule:

  • 17 Saint Mary’s
  • 19 Greystone
  • 23 Timberlea / Mumford
  • 31 Main
  • 32 Cowie Hill
  • 33 Tantallon
  • 34 Glenbourne
  • 35 Parkland
  • 41 Dartmouth – Dalhousie
  • 42 Lacewood – Dalhousie
  • 63 Woodside
  • 64 Akerley
  • 81 Hemlock Ravine
  • 84 Glendale
  • 85 Downsview
  • 86 Basinview
  • 89 Bedford
  • 159 Portland Hills Link
  • 165 Woodside Link
  • 185 Sackville Link
  • 330 Tantallon MetroX
