That time of year again: Bedford Row downtown closed to vehicles until fall

Downtown becoming more and more pedestrian friendly

The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that Bedford Row between Sackville and George Streets will be closed to motor vehicle traffic beginning Friday, May 13, at 12 p.m. until Monday, Oct. 31 at 12 p.m.

Bedford Row will remain fully open to people walking, rolling and cycling. Access to all stores, restaurants and parkades will be maintained.

This is a seasonal closure, similar to previous years, and is intended to allow part of downtown to be more accessible for residents and visitors during the warmer months. It does not involve any construction.
