Tuesday, July 23, 2013 (Halifax NS) – Halifax’s Grand Parade will be the venue for The Ark, a unique multi-disciplinary performance that combines dance, music, architecture, and projection.

Projected images will be manipulated live, transforming an eighteen-foot-high fabric sculpture into a dynamic screen, while multiple dancers interact with one another to create a captivating and evocative outdoor performance under the stars.

When: Friday, July 26, 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. (Rain date: Sunday, July 28) Where: Grand Parade

Please note this event is free of charge and everyone is welcome.

A collaboration between choreographer Jacinte Armstrong, dramaturge Dustin Harvey (Secret Theatre), and architect Sarah Bonnemaison, The Ark features music by Cory Bowles, and performances by dancers Susanne Chui, Miriah Brennan, and Elise Vanderborght.
