The CAT sees 21% increase in passengers during 2024 season

As of September 3, 2024, Bay Ferries Limited (BFL) has booked 45,901 passengers for travel during the 2024 operating season (last report was 40,647 as of August 6). This represents an increase of 8,028 booked passengers (+21.19%) over the exact same period in 2023. To date this season, we have transported 38,299 passengers and 15,166 vehicles, completed 93 round-trips with 7 round-trips cancelled – 1 due to a technical issue (ship’s radar) and 6 weather related.

Mark Wilson, President and Chief Executive Officer for BFL stated: ‘We are very pleased with the strong numbers so far this season and the continued growth for the month of August. We are confident that we should finish the 2024 season above 47,000 passengers which represents significant growth over last year.’

Daily service will continue until September 16. As of September 17, The CAT operates five days per week until the final sailing of the season on October 15.
