the easiest playdough recipe: no burning of pots required

The last playdough recipe that I posted was great but I wasn’t digging the idea of having to boil it on the stove each time. I’m thrilled with this recipe I found via Infarrantly Creative that takes all of 5-10 minutes to make and no stove-top is required.

Ingredients:

– 1 1/2 cups flour
– 1/4 cup salt
– 2 packages unsweetened Kool-Aid mix {you can use one but you’ll get a darker color and sweeter smell of using 2 packages}
– 1 cup boiling water
– 1 1/2 tablespoons oil

What you do:

– Mix flour, salt and Kool-Aid well in a large bowl.
– Add boiling water and oil and then mix with a wooden spoon until it sticks together.
– When cooled and you can handle the dough mix the rest by hand blending all the color in so it is a nice even color

Notes:

* It might be pretty sticky from the kool-aid just keep adding flour until it’s a nice consistency. Or use food coloring and use essential oil or vanilla for scent.

* Knead it on a piece of wax or parchment paper for easy clean up.

* Keeps for about 3 months when stored in an airtight container.
