the easylunchbox system: eco friendly lunchbox set review & giveaway

I’m not even at the point where I have to come up with fun ways to keep my kids excited about their lunches at school, but I do have a 2.5 year old who already recognizes that presentation is everything. For lunches, sandwiches cut in little triangles is about as exciting as it gets around here…I was in dire need of some inspiration so I googled around and found another use for icecube trays {yes mamas, these multi-purpose items aren’t just for ice and keeping paint tidy} but are actually really helpful in getting toddlers to eat their meals since you can put lots of little food items in each cube.
Luckily I received an email from EasyLunchboxes.com and knew this was a company I had to bring this company to your attention! Creator, Kelly Lester {mom of 3} knows her way around a lunchbox. Give her a cutting board, cookie cutters, containers and yummy, healthful food and she’ll whip up a nutritious lunch with a whole lotta love.
The EasyLunchbox system is comprised of compartmentalized containers made of eco-friendly, non-toxic, food safe, bpa, pvc and phthalate free that fit into vinyl and lead free lunch bag. The containers are safe to use in the microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer.
Now the reason that moms {including me!} are loving this system is because a) it saves you money by making lunches at home for your kids b) saves you time c) is incredibly environmentally friendly – no more baggies, ziplocs, paper bags, or toxic plastic containers and d) gives you complete control over how healthy your children’s diets are – no excuses. Can’t blame the lunch lady for stuffing your kids with high fat & high sodium “meals” and you won’t be sending them on their way with a lunchable that has two days worth of sodium in it.
This system allows you to make appropriate sized portions for your children and most importantly, gives you the tools to make your children’s lunches extra special! Kelly has an expansive gallery of lunch ideas that will inspire you to get creative! Click here to check it out!
We went on a picnic a couple days ago and I packed us a light supper with the easylunchbox set. Everything was organized into two lunchbags with four containers and it all stayed cool with an icepack in one lunchbox and a frozen juice in the other. It was an easy set up and easy clean up. Perfect for busy families.
I’m kind of dorky and sappy when it comes to reminding my little guy that I love him so I’m actually excited to send him to school with heartfelt little lunches like the ones pictured above. Thankfully that won’t be for a few years though!
These durable EasyLunchbox sets can be found here. The containers are $13.95 for a set of 4 and will last you well over 6 months. The eco-friendly lunch {cooler} bags are $7.95. Also, click here to see comparison images of how these hold up next to “big brand” containers. You’ll be surprised!
