The Experts; Ryan Cairns, PT

Ryan Cairns is certified personal trainer with The Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP). He currently works at Dalhousie University as a varsity fitness tester, personal trainer, and group fitness instructor.

Ryan has been involved in fitness for many years. He played college volleyball while he studied exercise science at Holland College. He was the head physiological/ fitness tester for the 2009 Canada Summer Games. He has done fitness testing for many different groups, including paramedics, military, and athletes.

Ryan is an Agatsu certified Kettlebell instructors and has run many classes and bootcamps. He also trains clients one-on-one with them. He is currently teaching kettlebell classes at Dalplex.  He has been a Ufit instructor for the last 3 years. Ufit is a vigorous, hour long fitness class that combines cardio and strength training. The class is interval style, is lots of fun, and produces results.

When not training clients or testing athletes, Ryan is writing a fitness column for G! Magazine or his own fitness blog.  Ryan has been selected as this years Lululemon Community Fitness Ambassador.

Ryan works with clients of all abilities.
