Today is a great day for HRM book lovers. The annual Word on the Street Festival takes place on the Halifax Waterfront. A free event for all ages and persuasions.
The freshly announced One Book Nova Scotia author, Leo McKay Jr., will be on site to deliver a reading and sign copies of his awesome book, Twenty-six.
There will also be a Pitch the Publisher event, the first meeting of the CBC-TD Kids Bookclub, readings on the HMCS Sackville, a Literacy Celebration – featuring David Adams Richards, and so much more…
And drop by the Halifax Public Library booth to say hello and for a chance to win baskets of books, supper for two at jane’s on the commons, or a family package of tickets to see the Wiggles.
I hope to see you there!
