The oval reopens for the summer

E-powered or other fuel-powered equipment is not permitted

The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that the Emera Oval is opening today, Wednesday, June 1, 2022, for the summer season.

Residents will be able to enjoy the concrete surface for rollerblading, biking, skateboarding, in-line skating, and more.

Free equipment rentals, including bikes, scooters, and skateboards, will be available – as well as access to public washrooms and first aid stations. Helmets are mandatory for all users and are also available for rent. Valid ID is required for all rentals.

E-powered or other fuel-powered equipment is not permitted on the Emera Oval to ensure the safety of others.
