Our beautiful country is celebrating its 143th birthday today. I am so proud to be Canadian, not to mention very lucky. 🙂
It is also a statutory holiday so much organizations & businesses are closed. Including mine. We actually decided to close down shop tomorrow as well, gotta love a 4 day weekend!
I was feeling a little patriotic this morning while I prepped breakkie.
A certain kitty cat also showed her Canadian pride! 😉
First things first, coffee. Felt like a french press kinda morning.
A ginormous egg sammie. Made on a toasted ciabatta bun with fresh mozza slices, baby spinach, an egg, 1.5 slices of turkey bacon & tomato slices. I’m FULL!
Handful of blackberries. These guys were on their last legs.
Was the perfect way to fuel up for a day of cleaning. Yup, hubby dreads hearing that phrase. But it needs to be done and not just regular cleaning but the stuff that requires elbow grease – stove, oven, fridge, floors. 😉
