During the weekend of July 6-8, several community mailboxes were vandalized and mail was stolen. Incidents were reported in Lower Sackville, Fall River, and Hammonds Plains.
Vandals pried individual mail boxes open and removed the contents.
In many cases, the victims are not aware whether anything was stolen unless they confirmed delivery of a trackable piece of mail.
Residents are asked to contact their local detachment if they feel they are victims of these thefts.
Halifax District RCMP is asking anyone with information about these incidents to contact them at 902-490-5020. Should you wish to remain anonymous call Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers toll free at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), submit a secure web tip at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca, or use the P3 Tips App.
