Things I Bought That I Love

I am enamoured with Mindy Kaling and wish that she would update her blog more often, so I can look with envy at her cute Marc Jacobs tees and Betsey Johnson jewelry. Sadly, it seems as though she is busy being fabulous and I will have to do with her equally awesome tweets.

For the past little while I’ve been amassing some fun (read: cheap) purchases and decided that I should share them with internet-town.

1980s Tall “Pirate” Boots from Etsy
A cross between Van Helsing, J. Depp, and Kate Moss. The top folds over if you want them to look slouchy.

Flower Print Babydoll Top from Etsy
From Pretty Raccoon, who was one of my first eBay purchases many moons ago. I like the vintage looking flower print v. much.

Woochie® “Spoiled Rotten” Prosthetic from eBay
The same people who helped make my Terminator costume so successful. The maggots are a nice touch. This shall be worn at the Zombie Walk on August 15th.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer seasons 2 and 3 from Amazon
My second-favourite television show of my youth. I always considered the first three seasons to be amazing, but it’s always rough when your characters finish high school. The graduation episodes are near perfect. It should be noted that I don’t want cable TV, and my local movie store (read: some guy’s house) is a little sketchy (read: smokes pot in the store at 3 in the afternoon). Hence, boxsets rule.

Joel Plaskett’s Three from NOT THE INTERNET
Especially good for road-trips, because, like a highway, it goes on and on…

Lunch from John’s Lunch
Greasy, amazing diner food. With lots of ketchup and tartar sauce. Just down the street from my house and across the road from the new HUGE Value Village. Jealous??

Lastly, I am very thankful that I get to attend my lovely friend Jill’s wedding in Ottawa, as well as being able to see Montreal for a few days. I was able to get tickets on sale from Westjet for under $200 (return), which was an amazing deal. Stuff is all well and good, but it’s the experiences that count.
