At approx. 7:45 PM last night members of the Halifax Regional Police responded to a robbery that occurred at the Thistle St. Convenience Store. According to staff a suspect entered the store brandishing a hammer and demanded cash, a struggle ensued between the employee and the suspect who then fled from the store empty-handed. The employee, a 60 year old male suffered minor injuries and was treated and released at the scene. The suspect was described as a white male, early 20’s, 5’8” tall, slim build – he was described as wearing a black bellaclava, black jacket and gray sweat pants.
