20200114_161247

Common name: Thompson’s® WaterSeal® Waterproofing Wood Protector

Product description: This voluntary recall involves Thompson’s® WaterSeal® Aerosol Waterproofing Wood Protector. The product is a clear aerosol waterproofing spray that provides outdoor wood protection recommended for small exterior wood projects. The product is in an aerosol can with a green label and cap. The product information for Canadian cans are as follows: SKU: THC041800-18 UPC: 067166418001

Hazard identified: Over time, the contents of the cans may react with the package, causing rust to form along the can seam, which could spread to other areas of the can. If enough time elapses, pinhole leaks may manifest in the wall of the can, particularly along the seam of the packaging, exposing the contents of the can to the environment. If leaking aerosol cans are improperly stored near sources of ignition, a potential fire hazard exists. Property damage from leaking liquid sealer could occur.

Consumers should immediately stop using the product. Customers should go to go to https://recall.thompsonswaterseal.com/ where further information will be provided, and thereafter dispose of the Product in accordance with all local requirements.
