Thousands of non-rx pills found after woman stopped for DUI

Police have charged a woman for drug trafficking in relation to an impaired driving investigation.

Last night at approximately 8:20 p.m. officers observed a vehicle driving erratically on 111 Highway near Main Street in Dartmouth. The vehicle was stopped, and the driver was determined to be impaired. Police arrested the driver and seized approximately 3,000 nonprescription pills from the vehicle.

A 30-year-old woman is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth provincial court at a later date to face charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, impaired operation of a conveyance, and operating a conveyance while over 80mg%.
