Three arsons in Dartmouth under investigation

  Over the weekend, Halifax Regional Police responded to three arsons in the north end area of Dartmouth.

On October 25 at 9:40 p.m., patrol officers responded to a call of a small fire at the front of a residence in the 0-100 block of Farrell Street where it was determined an incendiary device was responsible for the fire. While conducting a canvass of the area, officers located a second incendiary device burning in a field down the street from the original incident . The following day at 9:55 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shed fire in the backyard of a residence located in the 0-100 block of Primrose Street. No injuries were reported in any of these incidents.
 
These arsons are under investigation by the Integrated General Investigation Section. At this time, investigators are exploring these files to determine how they may be connected and any possible motives behind them.
