Three charged with drug trafficking of fentanyl, meth, coke

RCMP release:

The Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (PCISCEU) has charged three people as part of a drug trafficking investigation.

On July 25, the PCISCEU, with assistance of RCMP Police Dog Services and Pictou Country District RCMP, executed a search warrant at a residence on Gill Crt. in Pictou. The search was the result of an ongoing investigation into suspected drug trafficking.

Officers safely arrested a man and two women at the home and seized substances believed to be fentanyl, methamphetamine (crystal form) and cocaine. Officers also seized a quantity of cash, drug paraphernalia and a BB style pellet gun made to resemble an automatic weapon.

Jake Murphy, 33, of Pictou, Jessica Lindblad, 28, of Maclellan’s Brook, and Merissa Sutherland, 33, of Scotsburn, have each been charged with Possession of Cocaine for the Purposes of Trafficking, Possession of Fentanyl for the Purposes of Trafficking, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000. They were released on conditions pending scheduled court appearance on October 28, 2024.

Note: The PCISCEU is made up of police officers from Pictou County District RCMP, Westville Police Service, and Stellarton Police Service.
