Three men and two women face numerous firearms charges after warrants executed

Five people from Dartmouth to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today to face numerous firearms related charges after police execute two search warrants yesterday.

At approximately 11:10 a.m. on January 8 investigators with the Special Enforcement Section and General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division along with members of the Emergency Response Team and patrol executed two search warrants at homes on Canso Lane and Chebucto Lane in Dartmouth.

Investigators executed the warrants after receiving information that there were firearms inside the residences.

Police located several firearms, ammunition, and a quantity of marihuana inside a home on Chebucto Lane. Two men and one woman, all from Dartmouth, located inside the residence, were taken into custody without incident. Nineteen-year-old Tyvon Gerrard Ritcey, faces multiple firearms related charges, four counts of breaching a court order and one count each of uttering threats, assault and possession of marihuana. Twenty-year-old Shiquawn Downey faces multiple firearms related charges and two counts of breaching a court order. Forty-three-year-old Pamela Lynn Ritcey faces multiple firearms related charges. The three individuals are scheduled to appear in court today.

Inside the Canso Lane residence, police located firearms and ammunition. The lone occupant of the home, a woman, was taken into custody without incident. A man, later turned himself into police headquarter and was arrested without incident. 36-year-old Tanya Lea Cross and 42-year-old Jeffrey Rozee are scheduled to appear in court today to face multiple firearms related charges.
