Three men face 16 additional charges in “Pillowcase Bandits” file

Investigators in the HRP/ RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section (GIS) have laid 16 additional charges after a five-month investigation related to break and enters in the Halifax Regional Municipality.
Three men were arrested last night as a result of an ongoing investigation that started in Tantallon in April 2013. At that time police seized several cell phones and later obtained search warrants in relation to break and enters that occurred in various areas of the province.
The three accused, who refer to themselves as the “Pillowcase Bandits,” will face the following charges:
•         Cory Mitchell Jollimore, 22, of Halifax faces 4 counts of break and enter and possession of property obtained by crime, 1 count of theft of motor vehicle, 1 count of possession of weapons for the purpose of trafficking and 1 count of breach of recognizance.
•        Jason Patrick Marriott, 26, of Halifax faces 3 counts of break and enter and possession of property obtained by crime and 1 count of possession of weapons for the purpose of trafficking.
•         Ryan Jeffries Marriott, 28, of Halifax faces 3 counts of break and enter and possession of property obtained by crime and 2 counts of theft of motor vehicle.
They were held in custody overnight and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court today.
Police are asking citizens to report similar incidents or any suspicious activity in their neighborhood to police. Citizens are also reminded to ensure their doors and windows are locked when they are leaving their home, going to bed for the night, or in areas of their home that may be unattended.
