Three of Four Ice Surfaces Now Open at BMO Centre

Friday, March 27, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that three of the four ice surfaces at the BMO Centre in Bedford are now open. The fourth will remain closed until work can be done to fix a leak in the roof.

The BMO Centre has been closed since Tuesday night as a precaution while frozen snow and ice were removed from the roof. Building maintenance staff were on site with an engineer today for another structural assessment, which confirmed that rinks A, B and C are safe to reopen. Rink D will remain closed until further notice.

The municipality apologizes for any inconvenience this closure may have caused and thanks residents for their patience. For more information on the BMO Centre, please visit http://www.bmocentrehalifax.com/.
