Three people arrested after robbery in Halifax

Police charge 19-year-old Hammonds Plains man and two youth in relation to robbery and weapons offences.

On August 29 at 12:35 a.m., police responded to a weapons complaint on Lincoln Cross after a group of youth walking in the area were approached by another group of youth and one adult who were in a vehicle. Three youths who were walking were sprayed with a sensory irritant and one of those youth was also physically assaulted. A number of personal items were taken from the victims. EHS attended and treated the victims for non-life threatening injuries.

A traffic stop was conducted on Voyager Way where the suspects were arrested. K9 conducted a search of the area and items involved in the incident were located. Police do not believe this to be a random act.
