March 24, 2011, Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) . . . Royal Canadian Mounted Police have charged three people in relation to several break and enters in Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia.
On March 23, 2011, 8:00 AM, RCMP received a call that a male and female were acting suspiciously trying to gain entry to several houses. Police located and detained the two 18-year-olds on Atikian Drive, Eastern Passage. Subsequent investigation revealed that the two were responsible for several break and enters in the community. Police obtained two search warrants for residences on Rosewood Lane and Cow Bay Road, Eastern Passage. Jewelry, cash, computers, and a firearm were seized at the Rosewood address. At the Cow Bay Road residence, police seized video games, electronic devices, stolen identification, and a small quantity of drugs.
Matthew Brown and Jessica Cooper, both from Eastern Passage, will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today to face charges under the Criminal Code of Canada, these include Break and Enter(Sec.348), Possession of Stolen Property (Sec.354), and Mischief (Sec.430(4)).
Patrick Stockley,18, from Cow Bay, is currently in police custody and will also be appearing in Dartmouth Provincial Court this morning. He is facing charges of Possession of Stolen Property and other breach charges under the Criminal Code of Canada.
