Three people killed in head-on collision

The RCMP is investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Hwy. 103 in Greenville.

On August 20, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Yarmouth Rural RCMP responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash.

A Honda Civic was located off the road and severely damaged. A 22-year-old male and an 18-year-old female were found deceased.

The second vehicle, a Toyota Tacoma, was also heavily damaged. A 39-year-old female, who was in the front passenger seat, was life-flighted to Halifax and later succumbed to her injuries. The driver, a 47-year-old male, and a 12-year-old female, who was travelling in the back seat, sustained minor injuries.

A dog, who was in the Tacoma, also died in the collision.

Multiple RCMP detachments assisted at the crash, along with EHS and fire services. Collision analysts attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
