I have some announcements to make. It totally doesn’t make for good blog reading, but hopefully it will be informative and help you find other good things.
First of all, I am
very excited to announce that I have launched my photography company
O La La! Photography by Laura O’Rourke. I will be primarily doing photography in the Halifax, Nova Scotia area. Between now and March there are some really excellent Promos going on as a way to celebrate the launch, so be sure to check them out, especially if you’re looking for a photographer. “

Secondly, I currently have a photo in a competition to win a photoshoot of my own. When your family consists of photographers, there are lots of pictures of babies, of other couples and other families. But I never have a nice photo of
my family, all together, or of just Dan and I. So I would really like to win this. In order to win, my photos needs to receive the most “likes”. If you head on over to

And FINALLY, I have a suggestion for a blog that I think is going to be really great. My sister just started a blog called
The Rookie Wife where she plans to document her time as a newlywed struggling to live with this guy she married. I’m really sure that hilarity will ensue, especially if you know my brother-in-law, who always seems to have one foot or the other in his mouth. So go follow her and leave her a comment. Those who blog know all about the constant struggle to find your worth when you’re not sure if anyone is reading or cares. Comments are a blogger’s best friend and a real boost for new bloggers.
